Like most round-up rides, Crazy Cage has had many owners since it made its debut in 1979 with Tom & Topsy Smith. Just 4 years after its debut, the round-up moved on to its 2nd owner, John Cole, whose ownership was also short-lived, as John Matthews purchased it in 1987. John also moved it fast, with his ownership lasting a matter of months before George Rogers Snr gave the ride a bit of stability with an ownership spanning from 1989 till 2008. From 2008, the ride was with Bill Stirling Jnr until George Lock Jnr and his partner purchased the ride in 2012. The ride, also known as a Meteorite, was purchased by Joe Neal in 2014 before Bernard Smiths ownership started in 2019.
