Welcome to Funfair Diaries

Since late 2023, here at Funfair Diaries, we have strived to bring not only plenty of good content but also good-quality content to the public eye. With this in mind, we have managed to amass over 2000 pictures of over 400 rides and attractions from some of the biggest showmen around. With input from the entire team here, we have also managed to add history to around 75% of them.
Over the past year from our experience, we have come to realise that a lot of the fairs in the UK are beign missed by many due to not being able to find the dates and locations. We set about researching this and found that many people had started to use maps to chart the fairs in the UK but had become stuck due to some of the information being withheld by others due to personal advertising gain.
Whilst we are aware that it will not be an easy task to be able to bring a month-by-month fair calendar, it is a resource we feel is essential to the long-term future of funfairs and the public should not be held to ransom of joining a particular site or group to be able to gain this information. In January 2025 we began the task of bringing a set of maps to the website under the Dates for the Diary Tab.
