The Tagada started life in Switzerland in 1986; however, the showmans name is unknown. Phillip Wheatley imported the ride to the UK in March 1995 and operated the Machine for 5 years before selling it to Sheldon Lock in March 2000. After 7 years, in October 2007, Sheldon decided it was time to sell & Michael Searle promptly took ownership until March 2012. Joel Bunn has owned the Tagada since 2012, during which the ride has seen some major refurbishment work.
