Extra Info

Often mistaken for belonging to George Rowland Tucker due to it being a large part of Tuckers Funfair, Hell Creator belongs to James Tucker. The R J Lakin-built Waltzer started its life as a Speedway travelling with the Botton Brothers in 1947. In 1953, the machine was purchased by Battersea Funfair; this would start a 39-year stint of stays in a static park with stints in Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Bottons Pleasure Beach & Clacton Pier. In 1993, the ride was purchased by the Peel family and was used first by Thomas Peel and then James Thomas Peel; it was during this spell in 1994 that the ride was converted to a Waltzer. William Cole and Paul Pinder teamed up and purchased the Waltzer in October 2007 from the Peel family; James Tucker took ownership from them in 2011 and has recently been undergoing a process of Refurbishment with new Art Work by Mark Abbott
