Built by PWS for Harry Danter of Barry Island Pleasure Park, the machine was first used in July of 2015. In September 2017, the ride was sold to George Burrows, who, in the year 2021, loaned the Twister to Alton Towers to be used in a temporary area called the World of David Walliams. During this time, the ride was renamed Flavios Fabulous Fandango. At the end of 2024, Alton Towers announced that the World of David Walliams would not return for the 2025 season and all the rides in that area were to be returned to their owners
