Originally built for a joint venture between Maxine Silcock and Neil Pont by Sam Ward in 1979, it was less than a year later that Neil found himself as the lone owner of the ride. Neil continued to operate the ride alone until it was purchased in 1989 by John Murphy, who kept it running until he sold the ride to Nigel Coneley. Stanley Freeman became owner number 4 when he took it on in 2002 for 4 years before Darren Boxall became the current owner in 2007. Under Darren, the machine has had an extensive refurbishment
