Built by Maxwell for Clacton Pier to accept its first riders in March 1978, the machine was resold onto Cosgrove Park in Milton Keynes in 1980. As the ride was only used for 1 season at the park Sandy Bay Amusements purchased the ride in 1982, having operated the ride until 1986 it was sold to the Irvin family. The Waltzer was operated first by Irvin Leisure before having individual Spells with Tricia and then David Irvin, they sold it to William Thurston Jnr in 2008. The waltzer also doubles as Avalanche at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
