Built by French Manufacture Reverchon for Malmo Folkets Park in Sweden in 1981. It would not be until 1995 that it would make its UK debut at Brean Leisure Park, it operated there until the end of 2002. The Matterhorn had the name Pod Racer and after 2 years in storage, it returned to the park for the 2004 and the 2005 seasons. After leaving Brean the ride was purchased by Ocean Beach Pleasure Park in 2006, but after 3 years it was sold to Shaun Wesley in 2009. Shaun changed the name to Extreme Joker and despite an operator change to Shaun James Wesley the ride has continued to make gradual improvements over the years
