Made by Sobema as a Matterhorn called Alpine Express, the machine made its debut with Perrin Stevens in 1984. It stayed in the Stevens family until 1995, with Louise Stevens taking over in 1990 and operating it until it was sold to Harry Ayres in 1995. Harry only operated it for a few years as he opted to sell it to Albert Holland in 1997, who operated it until he sold it to Scott Holland in 2013. After 3 years the machine left the Holland family and was renamed Midnight Express under Leigh Harris in 2017. Ryan Pearson purchased it in 2020
