Built by UK manufacturers A.R.M, Trabant started its journey in 1982 at the Butlin's Holiday camp in Ayr. The machine operated there for 14 years before being sold to Dreamland Margate where it operated till 2004. In 2004 the ride was purchased by Rainbow Park Hunstanton where it was sold to Carousel Park in 2012, it remained there for just one season and was sold to Ocean Beach Pleasure Park. The machine struggled at Ocean Beach so less than 2 years later it was sold to Bayside, where it as operated since 2015
